In the previous article, we explored signs of saa’ah sughra (minor signs). In this Article, we will explain saa’ah kubraa (major signs). But before we go to this point, let us know how Allah describe the Hour, Allah says in the Holy Quran, Surah Al-Haj:1
O mankind! Fear your Lord and be dutiful to Him! Verily, the earthquake of the Hour (of Judgement) is a terrible thing
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ زَلْزَلَةَ السَّاعَةِ شَيْءٌ عَظِيمٌ
Once the time is over, and the facts of this world are revealed, people will realize that this life was not a game and the warnings that they were told in life was 100% true. Allah Alimighty speaks about it and said ”the earthquake of life”, so human beings will see it as an earthquake. An earthquake that will spread fears in their souls, the hearts will be shaken, the bodies will trembled, and the eyes will be strained. Then , what are these signs that once it happened, life ends?
The coming of the Mahdi, The Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu alaihi wassalam) said: “At the end of the time of my ummah, the Mahdi will appear. Allah will grant him rain, the earth will bring forth its fruits, he will give a lot of money, cattle will increase and the ummah will become great. And he will rule for seven or eight years” [Authenticated by Al-Albani]. The “Antichrist” or (Al-Masseh Dajjal), he will be a young man with a ruddy complexion, short, with thick curly hair, a wide forehead, and broad upper chest, blind or defective (mamsuh) in the right eye. This eye will be neither prominent nor sunken, and will look like a floating grape. His left eye will be covered with a thick piece of flesh growing at the edge of his eye. Written between his eyes will be “Kaf fa ra (K-F-R)”, in separate (Arabic) letters, or “kafir”, with the letters joined. This will be read by every Muslim, literate or illiterate. He will be a Fitna (a test) to people. Allah will test people’s faith in Him. This Al-Masseh Dajjal will be given unbelievable powers. He will challenge people that he can heal, create, and resurrect the dead.
The Prophet Muhammed gave us some recommendations on how to protect our Eman and Islam from this test (Fitnah). Adhering to Islam, having the right faith and learning the Names and Most Beautiful Attributes of Allah, and adhering to Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammed. Seeking refuge with Allah from the fitnah of the Dajjal, especially in salah (prayer) by repeating after al-Tashahud this Duaa (I seek refuge in You from the trial of the False Messiah (أَعـوذُ بِكَ مِـنْ فِتْـنَةِ المَسيحِ الدَّجّـال)). The Dajjal will die at the hands of the Messiah ‘Isa ibn Maryam (peace be upon him). The Prophet Isa will fight Al-Masseh Al-Dajjal and kill him. Allah will save those who believed from his evil and from the evil of his followers, at the hands of the Spirit and Word of Allah. We need to make Dua and ask Allah to protect us and keep our hearts solid and strong. O Thou who turnest the hearts about, establish my heart in Thy religion.
